Mom’s Room (#8) $140

So named because both of our moms chose this room when they came for a visit, as do many of the matriarchs of family groups who visit.   Located on the second floor, we strongly suspect it’s due to the close proximity of the fabulous front balcony and the rocking chairs awaiting them, not to mention the comfortable full size brass bed, extra heavy comforter, and bathroom with a shower.

 “We are from Sydney, Australia traveling through the U.S. South West on our way to our son’s wedding in New Jersey.  We have stayed in a variety of lodgings on our way – mostly associated with National Parks, but including a major Las Vegas hotel.  This is the first place we have stayed where the “Landlord” has greeted us, shown us around, introduced the pets and entertained us at a sumptuous breakfast.  We are only disappointed that we can only stay one night. – – Perhaps next time it will be longer.  We came across the Lodge by accident and it was a real find.”
